Aspire Nautilus Coils Pack of 5, The Basics
If your Aspire Nautilus tank has started to taste dull, the coil is almost always the reason. It is the small metal part at the bottom that heats your liquid, and it does not last for ever. A fresh one brings the flavour back.
You can choose from five types here. The 0.7, 1.6 and 1.8 ohm coils use the standard bottom vertical design, known as BVC. Each Aspire Nautilus Coils Pack of 5 in that group holds five of the same coil. Next is a 0.3 ohm mesh coil. The last one is a 1.8 ohm coil built for the Nautilus AIO kit, which our listing calls a 5 pack.
Before you click anything, find out the name of your tank. Coils are not all swappable, and the wrong one will either not fit or not work well. If your tank is missing from this page, the Aspire coil range may have what you need.

Two mix-ups catch people out. The 0.7 ohm coil will not work in a Nautilus AIO. The nic salt coil made for the AIO, the one with the green seal and NS mark, should stay out of the Nautilus 2S.

Aspire Nautilus Mesh Coils Explained
Mesh is the newer idea. Instead of one thin wire, Aspire Nautilus Mesh Coils use a small sheet of fine metal mesh. The sheet touches more cotton, so more of it heats at once. Aspire still builds it in the same bottom vertical style as the other Nautilus coils.
The mesh coil here is 0.3 ohm, the lowest number on this page, and it wants the most power, 23 to 28W. Higher power tends to use up liquid and battery faster, so plan for more refills. Only Nautilus 3 range tanks and the GT II take it.
A word on the Nautilus X. It looks like a close cousin, but it runs on its own coils, sold as a separate product. The Nautilus X coils will not swap with these.
Picking Your Ohm: 0.7, 1.6 or 1.8
Ohm tells you how hard the coil pushes back against the power. A smaller number lets more power through, and that changes how the vape feels.
1.6 and 1.8 Ohm: Tight and Calm
These two give a slow, snug pull, a bit like drawing on a cigarette. UK shops say they suit nic salt liquids well. They need little power, so they are gentle on your battery too. The Nautilus AIO kit has its own rule: for nic salt, use the AIO 1.8 ohm coil with the NS mark and nothing else.
0.7 Ohm: Bigger and Airier
The 0.7 ohm coil gives a looser, more open pull with more vapour. UK shops say it works best with liquid that is more than 60% VG, which is common in 50ml shortfill liquids. Thin, high-PG liquid can leave this coil gurgling or burnt.
0.3 Ohm Mesh: The Power Pick
Choose this if you own a Nautilus 3 range tank and your device can reach 23 to 28W. Below that range, it will not heat as it should.
Unsure about any of this? Start with the ohm your tank came with, because the tank was set up for it. Stay inside the power range on the coil. Too much can scorch the cotton, and too little leaves the taste thin. The 1.8 ohm coil also fits the Aspire K3, so it makes a useful spare if you own a K3 vape kit too.
Fitting a New Coil and Letting It Soak
Read your own tank guide first. A tank such as the Nautilus 2 tank opens a little differently from the others. The basic order of play is the same, though.
Switch off the device and empty the tank. Unscrew the base, lift out the old coil, then twist the new one in until it feels snug. Do not force it. Rebuild the tank and fill it up.
Then wait. Leave the tank alone for about ten minutes, with five as the very least. The cotton must soak up liquid before it gets hot. Puff on a dry coil and it burns right away, and the damage is done in seconds. UK vape shops give this same advice.
UK rules cap vape tanks at 2ml, so you will top up often. Nothing is wrong when that happens.
Signs the Coil Is Finished
- The flavour goes burnt, flat or bitter.
- The vapour looks thin.
- The tank gurgles or leaks when it never did before.
Any one of these usually means a new coil. Plenty of vapers swap theirs every one to three weeks. Your own pace depends on how much you vape and which liquid you use.
